I honestly was cooking with the amount of OC art I made in 2018. If I recall, I was making genuine efforts to worldbuild. I was looking up guides, taking notes and watching youtube videos that deconstructed popular tropes and plots in comics. I also had a massive excelsheet with worldbuilding lore, but lost it due to a laptop of mine dying out.

I wanted to draw more dramatic art of my characters, but I didn't have a plot in mind. I just knew that Psyche would be dangerous and I wanted to portray that.
Ruth and Lilith gathering ingredients for a potion. I was really into the concept of apothecary Ruth. Also, I like how Lilith looks in this!
Bryce, still figuring out a design I like. I was toying with the idea of making Bryce wear more casual looking clothes, but I think her current style suites her best.
Old Lyka art. I was playing around with world building and thought that magical girls should just exist.
More old Lyka art. I really wanted to keep her hair looking like it was dyed, because it looked distinct. However, I'm REALLY lazy these days.
I didn't want to just keep drawing characters standing against a white void, and tried my hand at telling a story with just one image.
I didn't have a ref sheet for Asella so here was my first attempt. I wanted her to be a fantasy-courier. Can you tell I was obsessed with Fallout: New Vegas? No? Well, I was very obsessed to to point that I too wanted a fictional courier included in my OC pool.
Fun fact: I used to be a bass player for my church band. I wanted Amber to have a cool rock aesthetic while also keeping a angelic theme? I just really dig the vibe and more angel-themed characters should have electric bass guitars because why not.
I played around with Lyka's hair so much I'm just going to chalk it up as an in-character trait that she also can't make up her mind and will always change hair-styles depending on what's in fashion at the moment. 10/10 character building.
My art was getting better and I really wanted to see how Stella would look like in my current art style.
Stella's design is peak, screams to me. I love her.
I didn't have a playstation for a really long time, and most of the Disgaea games were only on those consoles. I played Disgaea D2 around this year, but I didn't really like it.
Sicily's plotline was really good! And Flonne's shenanigans were entertaining, but the game didn't hit.
I took requests on tumblr for a bit and someone asked for a Raichu in a party hat. Raichu had always been my favorite Pokemon but I don't think I've ever drawn it on my own until this?
I was really bad at drawing Pokemon, despite being a long term fan. I kept making excuses, but honestly once I started I really enjoyed doing it!
